My First Ear Infection

Mommy and Daddy took me to Kaiser today because I was NOT getting better. I've been sick for 3 weeks now! Turns out I have my first ear infection. No wonder I haven't been sleeping well! I get to try amoxicillan in a few minutes. Mommy says it tastes like bubble gum. In the meantime, I'm being brave and trying to be a trooper!

Muddling Through

My daycare director pulled Mommy aside yesterday and said that I had a better day...she also said that it's obvious I'm a smart kid because I observe EVERYTHING. I still haven't gotten comfortable enough to go up to the other kids and start playing but I am getting more comfortable with the other teachers. Oh- I got another molar! I'm just popping teeth out of my gums left and right!

Daycare

Mommy and Daddy, along with the daycare staff, decided it would be best to just immerse me in daycare instead of this two-morning a week business. Today I start 5 mornings a week, 8 to 12. Mommy really hopes I took a nap there today because I woke up for the day at 4:45 a.m. Turns out I was STARVING because when Daddy fed me breakfast I ate twice as much as I normally do. My appetite is back after being sick for so long!

Pro haircut

My mom really butchered my hair the week before my birthday party. I looked like an ancient Roman with super short bangs. She took me to a REAL hairdresser to fix it. I think I look pretty good!

My Birthday Party

My first birthday party was on January 10 in Alpine, CA. It was a Star Wars theme because my parents live out their childhood fantasies through me.

I really didn't know what was going on but I really liked kicking the balloons and ripping the wrapping paper.
I was not a big fan of my cake....

But I enjoyed crunching all of the leaves that had fallen onto the ground especially for me!
